Right around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, Abadi Ismail, who lives in the Buzzard Point section of Washington, D.C. said he was getting ready for bed, when out of nowhere, he heard an unsettling sound.
Unsure of what was going on, Ismail began searching through social media to find an answer. That's when the news started to break. There were some reports that a plane crashed with a helicopter,' said Ismail. Located on the top floor of his building, Ismail can see the Potomac River and Reagan National Airport from his window. But Wednesday night when he looked out that window, he wasI saw smoke. I saw smoke and even with the smoke, I did not think for a second that could be a plane crash.' Ismail said.'I just couldn't put the points together that it could be a plane crash,' said Ismail.' But it was and now a day later, Ismail said he's been watching and hoping as crews work to recover the passengers on board. They've been trying to find any sign of life but we've been watching. We've been trying to help,' said Ismail
