Wisconsin has been a key swing state in the last two presidential races. Donald Trump became the first Republican since Ronald Reagan to win the state in 2016. Joe Biden took the state by just 21,000 votes in 2020 and the state figures to be a pivotal one again this fall. All 99 seats are up this fall. Retirements and Evers’ redistricting changes will leave almost 60 seats open in November. Democrats have more than 120 candidates running, the most since 2011.
