Coach Yeng Guiao is particularly pleased to have an import he’s familiar with for the upcoming Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup Season 49.
With Aaron Fuller back in the mix, Guiao feels confident that Rain or Shine will have a dependable player to lean on. “We’ve tested our import, and I know Aaron well—he was one of my players when I was coaching NLEX,” Guiao shared.The 6-foot-6 forward, who previously played for the University of Iowa and the University of Southern California, posted impressive stats during the 2017 Governors’ Cup, averaging 22.6 points, 17.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game.
The team is riding high after reaching the semifinals of the Philippine Cup for the first time in five years. Their new recruits include first-round picks Felix Lemetti and Caelan Tiongson, as well as second-round draftee Francis Escandor, who hails from reigning UAAP champion De La Salle University.
