PETALING JAYA: The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the two enforcement officers nabbed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) were Immigration Department enforcement officers.
It also clarified that the two were previously stationed at the Malaysian Immigration Attaché at the Malaysian High Commission in Bangladesh for a short time.
Earlier on Thursday , reports said the two enforcement officers were ordered to return home recently and were remanded for three days until Thursday . It said more than 20 accounts had been frozen and assets estimated to worth RM3.1mil had been seized in connection with the case.
