The Dothan organization is set to open a separate counseling center and add a satellite location.
The organization, which provides free pregnancy and counseling services, has leased a new building and plans to move in early spring, according to Executive Director, Susan Anderson.The launch of a separate counseling center will help expand the pregnancy center at its original location to meet growing needs.
The organization has seen increased demand for fatherhood services and plans to add meeting space for fathers. “Our fatherhood numbers have been really up, so we’ll add an additional fatherhood client meeting space as well,” Anderson said.As fathers start using services more frequently, the organization has identified another group that needs care.This led to plans for a satellite location in partnership with Love in Action’s Good Samaritan Clinic. The location will provide pregnancy and sexual disease testing to combat STIs in Alabama.The Wiregrass Hope Pregnancy Center seeks volunteers and funding to further its mission of helping young families in the area.Download the WTVY News4 app to get alerts and stories the moment they are published.
