Winter precipitation, including snow, sleet, and freezing rain, is expected from Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon. Along with San Antonio , much of the Interstate 35 corridor to the north is also included in the watch. That includes New Braunfels , San Marcos , Austin , and Round Rock .
Total snow and sleet accumulations up to 2 inches are possible, along with ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch. Most of the precipitation will fall between 6 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m, Tuesday. Roads are likely to become slick and hazardous across the watch area, especially over bridges and overpasses. Hazardous road conditions are especially likely from Monday night through the Tuesday morning commute.
