On Sunday at 2:20 p.m. a winter storm watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Tuesday 1 a.m. until Thursday 1 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.

The weather service states to expect, "Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 8 and 16 inches possible."

"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes," describes the weather service.
