Heavy snow is expected in Washington and Westmoreland counties, with travel potentially becoming very difficult.
The National Weather Service issued an updated winter storm warning at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday valid from 7 p.m. until Monday 7 p.m. for Washington and Westmoreland counties. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches can be expected according to the weather service. The exact northern extent of a likely band of heavy snow remains uncertain, and could impact a region from northern West Virginia as far north as southwestern Pennsylvania and parts of the northern West Virginia panhandle.
