A major winter storm is inching closer to the Philadelphia region. Here's the latest live updates.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation has issued a commercial vehicle travel restriction on multiple highways starting at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25 due to the approaching winter storm. The vehicles covered by the order include: -All tractor trailers -Empty straight CDL-weighted trucks -Passenger vehicles pulling trailers -Recreational vehicles -Motorcycles Gov.
Mikie Sherrill said during a news conference on Saturday that vehicles carrying food, fuel and medical supplies are exempt. Also exempt are utility vehicles along with public safety and essential personnel. Click here for more details about the exemptions. The restriction will be in place until further notice for the following highways in both directions: -I-76 -I-78 -I-80 -I-195 -I-280 -I-287 -I-295 -I-676 -NJ Route 440 This restriction does not apply to: -The New Jersey Turnpike -The Garden State Parkway -The Atlantic City Expressway
