A massive winter storm brought 8 inches of snow and 10-degree wind chill to Washington, D.C. this week, impacting tens of thousands of homeless people seeking refuge. One such individual is Oswill Nazareth Zorrilla Rojas, who has been living in a tent for the last three months after losing his job and having his immigration documents stolen. Central Union Mission, a men's shelter with a capacity of 170 beds, has been providing meals and temporary shelter to those in need. Ron Stanley Jr.
, the vice president of men's ministry at the Mission, stated that winter always brings increased demand for their services. 'We make sure the building is warm, make sure we have someplace for them to stay, and we make sure that they get something to eat,' Stanley says.
