Another round of winter weather has arrived in the Delaware Valley, with snow predicted for several counties. The FOX 29 Weather Team reports that the Lehigh Valley, Berks, upper Bucks and Montgomery counties, along with Mercer County can expect a coating to an inch of snow. Philadelphia is expected to avoid the snowfall.
It appears Punxsutawney Phil's prediction for six more weeks of winter is already underway for the Delaware Valley ! Another chilly winter Sunday as the morning sun turns to cloudy skies later in the day as snow makes its way to several counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Lehigh Valley, Berks, upper Bucks and Montgomery counties, along with Mercer County can expect a coating to an inch of snow from 5 to 9 p.m.
Flurries will start to fall in Berks County and the Lehigh Valley around dinnertime, with more snow in upper Bucks, Montgomery and Mercer counties by 7 p.m. Some flurries could make it down to Chester, Delaware and Burlington counties around 7-8 p.m. But, the snow wraps up for everyone between 9-10 p.m. The Poconos will see the most snowfall, with nearly 3 inches, followed by nearly an inch in Allentown, half an inch in Reading and a quarter of an inch in Doylestown. Philadelphia is expected to miss out on this snowfall! Looking ahead, some areas will get sleet on Wednesday evening before everything turns to rain later that night.
