About 15 vehicles were involved in the pile-up that left multiple people hurt with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to Arizona DPS.
Multiple crashes related to winter road conditions caused a pile-up on Interstate 17 near Anthem Sunday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The department said the number of vehicles involved wasn't verified but there were believed to be about 15. Multiple people were injured but the department said the number was unclear.All southbound lanes were blocked for about an hour, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. All cars were moved to the right, only blocking the right lane as of Sunday afternoon. Traffic was moving well through the area, the DPS said.
