Wind gusts between 40 and 75 mph are expected across Southcentral Monday, dropping wind chill values well below zero.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A combination of cold air, high pressure, and strong winds will make for dangerous wind chill values across much of Alaska Monday.
With high pressure to the west and low pressure to the east, high winds are likely across Southwest and Southcentral as the winds are being forced from north to south through the mountain gaps. Strong winds of 40 to 55 mph are also likely from Anchorage to the Mat-Su late Monday through early Tuesday.
