Defining the News

Typhoon ‘Aghon’ slightly weakened on Tuesday morning as it continues to move northeastward away from Luzon, prompting the state weather bureau to lift all tropical cyclone wind signals it earlier raised over the affected areas during the height of its strike.

As such, the typhoon is unlikely to bring a significant amount of rainfall within the next three days. PAGASA, however, noted that moderate to heavy rains may be experienced over Western Visayas and the western portion of Central and Southern Luzon attributed to the southwesterly windflow.
