) - A Wind Advisory is in place for the entire Gulf Coast. Sustained wind speeds around 20-25 mph out of the southeast are likely today, with wind gusts up to 45 mph at times. We will stay gloomy and overcast, with isolated sprinkles at times. Daytime highs will max out in the upper 60s and the lower 70s.
Rip current risks are HIGH today through Wednesday. Please stay out of the water, as rip current risks are extremely dangerous and pose a life-threatening risk. Overnight, a strong line of storms is on the way. The SPC has our area outlined in a 1/5 and 2/5 risk zone for strong to severe storms. The higher the number, the higher potential to see stronger storms. Wind gusts up to 70+ mph are the main concern, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Stay weather-aware tomorrow morning.The rest of the week, and the weekend, look great with daytime highs in the 60s and the 70s and sunny and dry skies.
