Wimpy winter storm is on its way to Utah

A storm is headed for northern Utah on Monday night and across the rest of the state on Tuesday, but it won’t do much other than drop temperatures a bit in some areas.

Haze is expected to build again this week.Northern Utah mountains may get 1-3 inches, but the valleys will see only a dusting. There could be a few flurries on Tuesday morning, but little or no accumulation is expected.

In Salt Lake City, there’s a 20-30% chance of snow after 11 p.m. Monday, continuing until about 11 a.m. Tuesday. Temperatures may fall a couple of degrees — from a high of 40 on Monday to 38 on Tuesday. Temperatures will remain in the high 30s/low 40s on Wednesday and Thursday, then rise to the mid-40s on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with overnight lows in the low to mid-20s. After clouds on Tuesday morning, expect sunny skies through Sunday.
