After being successfully piloted by Lancashire Police, the scheme is now being rolled out in Wiltshire.Sgt Harwood said that at the moment the main concern would be the environment day-to-day, like hot weather and dangerous circumstances. One thing the force is now considering is a shaded area for the specialist cars that carry the dogs, so that they are not so reliant on inefficient air conditioning.
