Hicks threw 92 pitches in 3 2/3 innings, allowing six hits and two runs with four walks and seven strikeouts.Hjelle worked 1 1/3 innings and was credited with the victory.Pavin Smith, starting at first base for Christian Walker, homered off Hjelle in the fifth for Arizona, which had its four-game winning streak halted.The Giants had lost seven straight games at Chase Field, including the first two of the series.
