An immersive, Wonka-themed experience in Glasgow has taken the internet by storm. VF explains how this whimsical event became a Fyre Festival–scale catastrophe.

According to Sinclair, the children were given “two jelly beans each” and then a “half cup of lemonade.” To make matters worse, Sinclair said there wasn’t even any chocolate.
