WILLOWICK, Ohio - A Willowick 4th grader is asking for help finding his bike after it was stolen from his family’s front yard.Caleb Hobson said he was hurt after a group of apparent teens stole his bike out of his yard, just before he was about to ride it to school with his friends.
When Caleb noticed it was gone, he told his mom, Ashley Hobson, who pulled up her security cameras, which captured the whole incident.After posting the video on social media, Ashley said, ″My daughter’s friend who lives just around the corner her bike was stolen they unfortunately didn’t have cameras so they weren’t able to like post who took it or anything like that.” Ashley said she got the security cameras a few years ago hoping she didn’t need them, but now thankful to have them. “It’s upsetting, I mean I teach my kids don’t take anything — but it’s also hard because they are kids and they’re going to do things that are wrong,” Ashley said. She reported the theft to the Willowick Police and learned of the bike registry program that returns recovered lost or stolen bikes to owners.
