is back and better than ever. Literally, we mean this is the best it's ever looked and we're not just referring to the stunning job with the SFX. the movie was always ahead of its time. The Nelwyn community, narratively headed by Willow Ufgood , was pivotal to the story; they also happened to be physically small, played by actors with different types of dwarfism.
Sounds great, right? How can it get any better? In short, it simply does. The show's success is in its ability to build on the foundations of what's come before.The Nelwyn community is still as strong as before and the series has thankfully scaled back on slurs, using them more pointedly to reflect something about the nature of the person uttering the insult.
The series pushes things one step further by including a blossoming queer romance at the heart of the story. Kit and Jade are more than just childhood friends who train together. Though we are only two episodes in, that brief kiss is only the tip of their intensity.Their dependence on each other and the depth of their emotions is evident when Jade is hesitant to tell Kit she is leaving Tir Asleen. It becomes obvious again when she finally summons the courage to do so and Kit reacts as though her whole world has shifted.
They are in the forefront of the story in a meaningful way. Not tag-along side characters but ones on their own internal journey.The character of Boorman is even more gratifying because the creators have folded his backstory into past events by making him the former squire of Madmartigan. These roots make him feel more connected to the world fans know and love.
