Williamson County is expanding its global partnership with South Korea.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Williamson County has approved a tax incentives agreement to bring a new 200,000-square-foot automotive parts supply facility north of Georgetown.– a division of South Korean company Hanwha – for the company to purchase 38 acres off the Interstate 35 frontage road.

The company would be given 70% of the taxable value of the tangible personal property for 10 years, according to the agreement. “The addition of Hanwha Advanced Materials is a win for Williamson County as it helps to diversify the WilCo economy,” Porter said. “We are winning semi-conductor projects, but this is a different industry.”
