Logan Sargeant will use the repaired Williams chassis at this weekend’s Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, and the team is unlikely to have a spare until Miami.Williams withdrew Sargeant from the the most recent race in Australia after Alex Albon suffered a sizeable crash during the opening practice session and damaged the car beyond what was repairable on-site. The team pulled Sargeant and put Albon in that car.Now, Sargeant is getting a refurbished car.
It means Albon and Sargeant must navigate the next two rounds without a hiccup.Again, it’s a situation that we had to deal with through the first three races,” said Sargeant. “We went to Saudi with the same situation and of course it’s one of those things that you know you have to be careful, but at the same time, you can’t be.“It’s Formula 1, if you’re careful, you’re nowhere. So it’s really not even a question. You have to be committed, confident and hope nothing goes wrong.
