The Queen died of old age, death certificate confirms. The cause of Queen Elizabeth II’s death has been listed as old age on her death certificate, which was released on Thursday. Elizabeth died at 3:10 p.m. local time on Thursday, September 8, at Balmoral Castle, the document said. She was 96.
