The Prince and Princess of Wales have been urged to consider takingSenior palace advisers have apparently suggested George, the second in line to the throne, should attend tomorrow as it would send a powerful message.: ‘Courtiers are keen for Prince George to be at the funeral in some capacity, if only to reassure the nation of the order of succession.’William and Kate’s other children Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 4, have also not been seen at the public events to mark the Queen’s funeral.
William had previously said following his mother Princess Diana’s coffin procession in central London when he was 15 was ‘one of the hardest things I’ve ever done’. It will come shortly after the Queen Consort pays a televised tribute to the late monarch on the BBC.
