Angie got her job back in Will Trent season 3, episode 3, meaning it was only a matter of time before she crossed paths with Will. A few minutes into episode 4, Will and Angie meet at a crime scene. They stay professional, but the awkward tension is hard to ignore. Eventually, when Will and Angie bump into one another at a restaurant, Angie lashes out at Will, claiming he ruined their lives, while Will says he had no choice but to arrest her.
Posts 6 To cap off the episode, Angie, with tears in her eyes, turns to Will and says,"Wilbur Trent, I release you." She then leaves his office, shutting the door on her way out. The shirt Will let Marion borrow hangs on the back of the door, perhaps signaling that his romance with Angie is truly over, while his relationship with Marion is only beginning in Will Trent season 3.
Will & Angie Can Mend Their Relationship But It Will Also Be Tarnished By Her Arrest They Can Never Be Lovers Again In Will Trent Will clearly still wants to be friends with Angie after their latest conflict . Meanwhile, she is resigned to maintaining a strictly professional relationship with him. However, they are both still hurting.
