The next government payment is due in autumn, here’s when you could expect to see it in your bank account
The qualifying period for the second payment hasn’t been announced yet. It’s thought this will be announced at the same time as the payment date.
To give you an idea of how qualifying dates work, people were paid the spring payment of £301 if they were entitled to a payment of the above benefits from 26 January 2023 to 25 February 2023.The government says you will NOT get a payment if you are only getting the following benefits:You also won’t be eligible for the autumn Cost of Living Payment if your benefit is reduced to £0 for the qualifying period. This is sometimes called a ‘nil award’.
Reasons your benefit may be reduced to £0 include your changes in your earnings or savings, if you got a benefits 'sanction', or you started getting another benefit.Where your money comes from will vary depending on the benefits you receive., you will be paid by the DWP., you will receive the £300 for Child Tax Credit only, which will be paid by HMRC.
