San Diego State’s historic basketball season that culminated in the NCAA championship game Monday night is going to cost the university at least $255,000.

Steve Fisher, Dutcher’s predecessor, pushed a team-first ethos by repeating the mantra that “rising tides float all boats.” The assistants’ boats are floating higher than ever. “My assistant coaches are the same way. … They all feel like they’re contributing to the success.
