– This one is not a full release, but the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game were originally going to launch in November 2021, but they were delayed to March 2022 for “polish,” as is often the rationale.– Rockstar’s massive cowboy hit was hit with double delays, first from 2017 to spring 2018, then again to its final release date of October 2018.
The point being, for GTA 6, which will no doubt be one of the most important releases in industry history, it does not seem terribly likely that it will hit this initially announced window of Fall 2025. The average delay here is anywhere from 5-10 months or so.Sure, it’s possible Rockstar has gone really, really conservative with its release date and has already built in that “polish” ahead of time to account for reasons games are usually delayed. But we’ll see.
Again, given that we are still well over a year until the release of the game, there is plenty of time for further information, and if therea delay, that would not be announced for a long while yet.
