Devastating wildfires have consumed over 25,000 acres in Los Angeles County, forcing evacuations of over 100,000 people. Multiple fires, including the Palisades, Eaton, and Sunset fires, continue to burn, with the Eaton Fire resulting in at least five fatalities. Hotels in the Los Angeles area are offering discounted rooms to displaced residents.
Devastating wildfires have burned more than 25,000 acres across Los Angeles County in just over a day. More than 100,000 people have been forced to evacuate from the fires.The Palisades Fire has burned more than 15,000 areas of Malibu and Pacific Palisades. The Eaton Fire has scorched nearly 11,000 acres in Pasadena and Altadena, and claimed at least five lives so far.More fires continued to spark in the LA area into Wednesday evening, including the Sunset Fire in the Hollywood Hills.
With so many being forced to flee their homes, several hotels in the Los Angeles area are offering discounted rooms for evacuees.According to the Hotel Association of Los Angeles, the hotels offering discounts range from as far west as Canoga Park and as far east as Industry. Hotels are currently taking in thousands of Angelenos who have been displaced by the Palisades, Eaton and Hurst fires. Many of our hotels are providing guests with discounted rates and the necessities they may have left behind in their evacuation, including toiletries. Many hotels are also taking in pets.
