Due to dangerous wildfire conditions in Los Angeles, the premiere of a film about Robbie Williams has been canceled. The SAG Awards will also not hold their in-person nominations announcement tomorrow, opting instead for a press release. Evacuation orders have been issued for multiple areas north of San Vicente in Santa Monica and Topanga.
A studio spokesperson said, “Due to the dangerous conditions affecting Los Angeles we are canceling tomorrow’s premiere of . Our thoughts are with those impacted by the devastating fires resulting from these conditions, and we encourage everyone to stay safe and follow guidance and orders from local officials and government agencies.”
The Michael Gracey directed movie follows the crazy life of British pop star Robbie Williams. The movie begins its wide break this Friday in about 1,200 runs. In the movie, Williams is portrayed by a CGI monkey. Critics dig at 90% certified fresh with an audience score of 96%.The SAG Awards won’t be holding their in-person nominations announcement tomorrow, rather will issue a press release with the nominees.
Meanwhile, the City of Santa Monica has issued an evacuation order for all areas of the city north of San Vicente. “Evacuation Order: Immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to LEAVE NOW. The area is closed to public access.” and Topanga “get set” warnings north to Calabasas. Other areas ordered to evacuate include Foxridge, Canyon Close, Grand Oak, East of Altadena Dr., Kinneloa Canyon Rd, Outpost Lane, Glen Springs, Coolidge, Miranda, Roosevelt, Veranda, and Kenclare.
