Two wildfires are burning out of control in Southern California, forcing the evacuation of over 30,000 people. The Palisades Fire in Pacific Palisades has burned over 2,900 acres, while the Eaton Fire in Altadena has grown to 400 acres.

More than 30,000 people have been told to evacuate in Southern California on Tuesday after a fast-moving brush fire erupted in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood near Los Angeles. Cars were abandoned after traffic was backed up for miles along Sunset Boulevard as residents were forced to flee the coastal neighborhood, situated between Malibu and Santa Monica, by foot. No injuries or deaths have been reported from the Palisades blaze, which has burned more than 2,900 acres.

By Tuesday evening, a second fire had broken out miles away from the Palisades fire, in Altadena, California, prompting immediate evacuations after spreading 200 acres in 30 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.The Eaton Fire is now at an estimated 400 acres, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. 'Firefighters are working aggressively to slow the spread and protect critical infrastructure under extreme conditions,' CalFire said in a statement.The Los Angeles Fire Department called on all of its firefighters to report for duty on Tuesday night as multiple brush fires relentlessly raged on in Southern California.A second fire broke out Tuesday evening, in Altadena, California, located in eastern Los Angeles County.
