“I didn’t know where I was,” Asa Ellerup recalled after the shocking arrest of her huband of more than 20 years.

Ellerup and her two adult children, Christopher and Victoria, had to immediately vacate their home per the police after HeuermannShe and her kids ended up sleeping in a rental car for more than a week because they didn’t know what else to do, she told the outlet as she lounged in a lawn chair. Ellerup said she was finally able to find some peace at her longtime home, which she was allowed to return to after 12 days — and found it was in complete disarray after the investigation
“It’s a mess in there,” she told the Sun. “But this is my home. I raised my children in this home, and I’ve got to fix it up. “I’m just trying to enjoy this for now,” she added, gesturing toward the sun before pulling her hood down.Asa Ellerup said she was disoriented after her husband, Rex Heuermann, was arrested in July and charged with the murders of three sex workers.Ellerup and her two adult children had to leave their house for 12 days while police turned it upside down for evidence.
