According to GVEA’s website, more than 23,800 members were affected by the outage, which was spread from the Denali Highway, up through Healy and Nenana, and down the Richardson Highway to Harding Lake.According to Meadow Bailey, GVEA Director of External Affairs and Public Relations, the outage was caused by a trip in the intertie which connects GVEA’s power grid to sources from south-central Alaska.Copyright 2023 KTVF.
