Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba with an expression of fear and concern in Wicked
Wicked star Cynthia Erivo revealed that going to the bathroom was way too hard once she was in full costume for the film. Wicked serves as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz and is based on the hit Broadway stage play of the same name and the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. In the movie, Erivo plays Elphaba, who later becomes known as the Wicked Witch of the West.
I don't go to the bathroom. Once I'm in my costume — and this is probably a terrible idea — and the harness is on, I'm not doing it... I'm not dealing with it. There's too many layers. I'm not dealing with it. I'm not going to the bathroom. It is what it is. ✕ Remove Ads Cynthia Erivo Fully Embodies Elphaba In Wicked Elphaba Is One Of Four Witches In The World Of Oz Close Since Wicked is a musical that has been put on all over the world for years, many actors have portrayed Elphaba, the misunderstood villain of The Wizard of Oz franchise.
