The first official images from the upcoming Wicked film adaptation reveal Glinda and Elphaba in costume. Wicked's path to the screen has been circuitous, beginning as a 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire inspired by characters from The Wizard of Oz, which was then adapted by Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz into a Broadway musical in 2003.
