The first installment arrives later this year in November, adapting the hit Broadway musical of the same name. The adaptation features a star-studded leading cast including Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Bowen Yang, Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Marissa Bode, Ethan Slater, Keala Settle, Bronwyn James, and Michelle Yeoh.

Another image shows Goldblum’s wizard sitting in a smaragdine-toned room, looking ponderous. Yeoh sports a deep blue dress in her role of Madame Morrible.
The film version of the acclaimed Broadway show Wicked has been a long time coming. The movie adaptation was first announced in 2012, but it was not until several years later that Jon M. Chu, known for making Crazy Rich Asians, was attached as a director. Wicked then experienced delays due to both the COVID-19 pandemic and the writers' and actors' strikes, further pushing off the release date of the production.
