The first house to be established in Champagne, Maison Ruinart has been around since 1729 and is most recognized for the unique shape of its bottles . Modeled after those that are depicted in Jean-François de Troy’s 1735 painting, it is the oldest representation of champagne, and a replica of it hangs in one of the salons used for tastings.
