'Unexpected' star Bella Vaughn is raising eyebrows with her candid thoughts on birth control after welcoming a baby with her younger boyfriend
During the Monday, March 23, episode of TLC’s hit series, Bella, 15, sat down with her parents, Kris and Falen Vaughn, for another confessional interview. When a producer asked Bella how she was avoiding a second pregnancy, Falen made it clear that her daughter “refuses” to take birth control.
“The side effects are stupid,” Bella explained. “Knowing me, I’d probably be unlucky and get every single one.” If Bella’s dad had his way, he would find a way to have his daughter stop being intimate with her 13-year-old boyfriend, Hunter. “I think the best way for them is just to not have any more sex at all,” Kris said in the confessional. If the conversation is a little TMI, just wait. While chatting with her parents and older sister, Bella revealed a wish that her boyfriend has in the bedroom that she has to refuse. “Hunter would love to do butt sex because he thinks that is a way to prevent pregnancy and he doesn’t want to wear a condom,” she said. “But we’re not doing anal sex. That is a one-way poop chute. Just never bring it up again.” Unexpected first premiered in 2017 and continues to capture the emotional highs and lows of teen pregnancy. Cameras roll as kids try to become adults and navigate financial pressures and evolving family dynamics as they prepare for a new normal. “This season brings together a mix of new teen couples, ages 13 to 18, offering an unfiltered look at the moments that shape their journeys,” TLC shared in a press release. “From baby showers, to births, to unexpectedly difficult decisions, grandparents step in, opinions collide and tensions rise as everyone pushes for what they believe is best for the baby.” Since season 7 premiered in February, viewers have been intrigued by Bella and Hunter’s young relationship as they navigate teen pregnancy. “Just because I am a teen does not make me any less of a mother,” Bella declared in a since-deleted TiKTok video. “I am a mother. I did have that baby. I did grow that baby for nine, almost 10 months. Hunter is a father.” After filming wrapped, Kris and Falen confirmed that Bella and Hunter are still together. “They are still going strong!” the couple wrote via Instagram on March 9. “#teenparents #teenmom #TLC #teendad #unexpected #teenlove.”
