If the Seahawks offensive line struggles against the Falcons defensive line, there is pretty much no hope left for this season.
The Seattle Seahawks return to the field this Sunday for a Week 7 road game against the NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons. While there will be rightful concern about what the Falcons offense could do to a struggling Seahawks defense, there’s a big picture storyline that may tell us where Seattle’s offensive line truly stands as one of the worst units in the NFL. Once again, the Falcons are last in the NFL in sacks, with a paltry five.
Still, this is the worst defensive line the Seahawks have faced all season. Compare Atlanta’s respective 27th and 28th pass rush and run stop win rates with the other six Seahawks foes and see the difference. vs. Denver Broncos: No. 1 in pass rush win rate | No. 10 in run stop win ratevs. New England Patriots: No 16 in PRWR | No. 19 in RSWRvs. Miami Dolphins: No. 17 in PRWR | No. 12 in RSWRvs. Detroit Lions: No. 6 in PRWR | No. 20 in RSWRvs. New York Giants: No. 5 in PRWR | No. 6 in RSWRvs.
