With the NFL’s trade deadline approaching, the Browns have some decisions to make, and keeping Chubb and Hunt together for a few more months should be one of the choices they make.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Two years ago, Kevin Stefanski found something in Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. They were better apart then together, it seemed, as the first-year head coach leaned on his strong rushing attack and spent parts of games pounding teams with one and then the other. It was a formula for success.
The trend has generally continued, with Stefanski rarely using Chubb and Hunt on the field together, which isn’t really the point of this whole argument. Still, the idea of trading Hunt for what would likely be a middle of Day 3 draft pick seems much less appealing than just finding a way to utilize him more -- even if there is more crossover between the two.
