Dalton Schultz left a playoff contender in Dallas to join the rebuilding Texans. He's expected to provide an upgrade to a tight end contingent that was mostly underwhelming last season.The Texans led the Cowboys for most of the game until the end, when Dallas scored with 41 seconds remaining“Damn, they have a really good young core,” Schultz recalled from that game. “Especially the secondary.”
“Just knowing that you’re coming into a young team who is hungry and has a lot of young guys on rookie deals hungry to prove themselves I think is very attractive in picking where you want to play,” Schultz said. Then there was the fact that he’d be playing under offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, whose offense born from the Mike Shanahan system relies heavily on tight ends in both the running and passing ame.
