The bright colour is surprisingly versatile...

shares the big trend on her radar right now and how she’s styling it for everyday life. Today, she reveals how a simple red shirt can be the ultimate styling trick...

The SS26 runways were full of fresh colour combinations, from Prada’s purple with a zest of lime, to Miu Miu’s cornflower blue and yellow florals. But my favourite, thanks to its 'easy to replicate' factor came courtesy of Loewe, where simple monochrome was lifted with soft lemon and a bold hit of tomato red. As a self-confessed colour-phobe, wearing something so bright feels like a daring step.

I’m easing myself in by using red as an accent, letting a flash of colour peek out from beneath a jacket. It instantly brings new life to my favourite white paper-bag waist trousers, keeping them feeling summer-ready while still working for those not-quite-warm-enough days. Once the sunshine properly arrives, though, I get braver. I’m convinced we all have a holiday alter ego, where colours and prints we’d never consider at home suddenly become exactly what we want to wear abroad.

My everyday wardrobe is mostly navy, cream and black, but my suitcase tells a very different story: emerald fringe dresses, colourful swimwear and pieces. With that spirit in mind, I decided to make my classic red shirt the focus, pairing it with a lemon-yellow midi skirt. The usual monochrome has taken a back seat, but it’s still there in the white tank and black sunglasses, grounding the look and keeping it feeling wearable.

However, if this feels like a colour step too far, the failsafe way to introduce the colour for an extra pop, is by making it into the ultimate accessory by wither tying it around the waist, or slung nonchalantly around the shoulders.4 Wimbledon outfit ideas to copy from the A-listM&S drops summer's most polished black dress for just £30
