Forest fires in Washington are affecting the air quality for the Astros-Mariners series.

The Mariners opted to play the game with the T-Mobile Park roof open, although the stadium doesn't have the option to provide a full enclosure like Minute Maid Park. The T-Mobile Park roof serves as more of a tarp, covering the playing field from overhead. Air quality in the city is expected to stay poor throughout the weekend, which could impact the series, since it will continue with Game 4 at 2:07 p.m. Sunday, if the Astros lose Saturday's game.that the air quality is unhealthy for everyone and that residents to keep an eye on symptoms like burning eyes, coughing and shortness of breath.
