Gandalf would arguably be corrupted by the One Ring even faster than some of the other beings of Middle-earth since it was created by his kin. Like Gandalf, Sauron was a Maia, an angel-like being who assisted in the world's creation. When he made the One Ring, he poured his own evil desire and power into it. It was so perfectly made that it began to corrupt Sauron himself, leading the Dark Lord to be entirely dependent on its power.
Of the Istari, Gandalf was the only one who successfully followed these orders. Saruman, of course, gave in to his own desire for glory and power. The White Wizard sought to make his own Ring of Power and hoped to take Sauron's place as the Dark Lord. Radagast never sought power, but he became so obsessed with nature that he hid away in the forest and saw after the plants and animals instead. Gandalf, on the other hand, was cautious in his role.
