Like Tyron Smith, Martin was part of rebuilding the Cowboys’ offensive line. Now their playing futures are both in question.

This season, Martin hasn’t been his All-Pro self based on some statistical data. You can attribute this to his health, age or the opponent.According to NextGen Stats, Martin has allowed his highest pressure rate and most sacks through 10 games since the 2018 season. The eye test tells you Martin is a strong force at right guard and continues as an example of how to play to rookies,“He’s the standard,” Guyton said. “You got to uplift the standard and his standard is pretty high. It’s making us better as a collective.”“He gives me little tricks and tips that makes him so good and I’m starting to incorporate that stuff into my game,” Beebe said. “He’s been huge a mentor to me and I really appreciate him.
“We talk about ebb and flow of football games,” coach Mike McCarthy said. “You have an ebb and flow of a season. No different for players. They’re all trying to establish a high standard of play and consistently play above that line. Zack has done that forever. So I mean, he would want to speak on that more than anybody, so he has a standard and we have all the confidence in the world he’ll play to that.
