The Browns are about a three-point underdog for Monday Night Football against the Bengals. More:
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- It’s no secret that Donovan Peoples-Jones has proven he can perform against the Bengals., speaking with the former sixth-round pick about how some of the biggest plays of his two-and-a-half-year career have come against the in-state AFC North rival.
We will get to recent history in a second, but let’s talk Browns’ offensive logistics entering this Week 8 matchup.Peoples-Jones is currently the team’s third-leading pass catcher with 336 yards. He’s not far behind Amari Cooper and David Njoku . Njoku, however, suffered a high ankle sprain against the Ravens in Week 7. The No. 1 tight end hasn’t practiced all week, and while he classified himself as day to day, Monday may be too tight of a turnaround.
His targets this year have had a wide range from game to game -- anywhere between one and 11 -- but Peoples-Jones hit the over on this yardage mark in five of the Browns’ seven games so far this year, including in each of the last four.In 2020, in Cleveland’s second game against the Bengals, Peoples-Jones made three catches, including the go-ahead, 24-yard touchdown that sealed the 37-34 win. He had 56 yards in the game.
