Shortly after TMZ's report,Entertainment Tonight
cited Spears making the decision to deactivate her Instagram temporarily in September before returning to the platform. A source told the outlet then, “She previously said she’d be taking a well-deserved break as many celebrities do, that's really it.” Spears' fiancé, Sam Asghari, has been active on Instagram today and has not commented on her pause or suggested there's any reason to worry about Spears.
Spears' Twitter remains up. The singer explained her last Instagram break on that social media platform, tweeting on Sept. 14, “Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement 💍😉 !!!! I’ll be back soon 💋🌹✨”
