While Baylan certainly had trouble fighting Ahsoka, his strong and powerful strikes were ultimately no match for her style of fighting, especially when considering how conflicted Ahsoka was.
Baylan Uses The Same Aggressive Lightsaber Form As Anakin Skywalker While it has yet to be officially confirmed, Baylan Skoll seems to utilize a modified version of Form V, also known as Djem So. Anakin Skywalker was known as an expert in Djem So, which further hints at the fact that Anakin and Baylan share a connection of some sort. It’s possible Anakin knew Baylan during his time as a Jedi, and that Baylan picked up some of Anakin’s style during their time in the Clone Wars.
Baylan's Unique Lightsaber Means He's Modified Form V The late Ray Stevenson influenced Baylan’s lightsaber by changing the pommel from the original design. Baylan Skoll’s lightsaber ended up having one of the longest hilts in Star Wars canon, which Stevenson uses to his advantage while fighting. Because of the length and weight of his saber, Baylan Skoll modified Form V to accommodate more two-handed strokes. In fact, Baylan almost never strikes with one hand in his duel with Ahsoka.
