Liberal Judaism has embraced the LGBTQ+ community, and has seen its numbers grow as a result.

In some of the later chapters in the book, you do a deep dive into various alternatives you’re seeing to mainline synagogues, which have defined a lot of organized Jewish religion for a long time.
Let’s go back to the queerness, the LGBT thread that you pick up because one of the surprising, at least to me, statistics in here is that there is a large percentage of rabbis that are increasingly coming from the LGBT community, and that’s just such an interesting phenomenon. Especially right now when liberal American Judaism is being so challenged by the situation in Israel-Palestine and the sense of conflicting values that’s coming from that.
